Yellow Geraniums?
It’s not unusual to find geraniums yellowing in your box while unpacking young plants this time of year. Geraniums exhibit a high sensitivity to ethylene which causes them to yellow during shipping. When geraniums are in the box for an extended period of time or experience higher temperatures, you may unpack a tray of geraniums with yellowing.
Over the years, MYP’s Growing Department has received questions about what they should do.
First step, don’t panic! Second step, plant immediately!
We’ve put together a visual guide of the progression of geraniums that were in the box too long.
Check out the results on this MYP Guide: Troubleshooting Geraniums (Yellowing).
